About 20,000 activists in South Korea have taken to the streets of Seoul to march with anti-globalization slogans in a rally against the G-20 summit.

This was the first major anti-globalization demonstration before South Korea plays hosts to a number of leaders from both the G-20 advanced and emerging economies.

When a bear attacked a deer hunter in the South Fork area, the hunter found himself forced to kill the bear in order to save his life.

According to a news release from the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, the lone hunter was located in the Aldrich Creek drainage in the upper region of the Shoshone River when he came face-to-face with the 10 to 12-year-old grizzly bear.

A Student Assembly resolution that proposes students be permitted to own pepper spray on campus is producing a debate among those on campus.

Members of the Student Assembly explained that the spraying device would provide the necessary protection for students on campus. However, the chief of Cornell Police, said that the device can in fact present a false sense of security and that students should consider looking for other forms of protection.

Last week a Wyoming elk hunter was confronted and subsequently attacked by a bear. The hunter managed to shoot and kill the bear, but not before the bear itself had sunk his teeth into the hunter’s arm. However, the hunter proved to be fine. So much so, that he walked three miles before arriving back at his vehicle to take him to the hospital, and was released the following day.

The death toll for bears in the Yellowstone National Park area is seeing a rise. The latest death was a 15-year-old male bear that officials recently killed, after the bear was spotted walking in a schoolyard.

A sow black bear was killed on Highway 191 in Gallatin Canyon after a vehicle struck the mother bear that was with its two cubs. When authorities arrived at the scene they found the mother bear in a nearby ditch, while the two cubs had scrambled up a tree.
