TASER Gun Video Captures Stabbing Evidence
In Fort Smith, Arkansas, a TASER gun video captured vital evidence that showed a suspect stabbing a police detective.
The video depicted officers at the home of two brothers where they were executing arrest warrants against the two men who were involved in a rape case.
During the arrests, the brothers threatened the officers as they held knives in their hands; however, while one of the brothers dropped his knife, the second brother didn’t.
The video shows officers shouting at the brothers and others in the house to get down on the ground.
Furthermore, during the incident one officer employed their TASER device in a bid to subdue the unruly brother. The video captured the brother utilizing his knife on the officer numerous times. As a result, he received wounds to his neck, side and back.
Because of the threat level to the officers involved an officer resorted to employing his firearm to target the brother where he was hit twice in the stomach.
While the circumstances involved proved dangerous for the officer, the TASER gun video does provide vital evidence for those interested in watching the video of the events that unfolded. Not only that, but it also shows that the officer who employed their firearm was justified in doing so because of the threat level made against the officers.
In today’s society when it comes to law enforcement there is often a lot of complaining done when it comes to the employment of these self defense devices. Even though they have been designed to protect people’s lives, that doesn’t mean they are excluded from the negative press that have received.
And because of this, there needs to be some way for the officers’ to prove their innocence if they should find themselves up against a litigation. This is where the TASER gun videos come into play. Easy to employ, these devices present the link that officers’ can rely on, which means they can spend more time focusing on protecting innocent lives and doing their job, instead of worrying about whether or not their actions could see them in court without any video evidence to protect them.
