TASER Device Breaks Up Brawl At Pizza Parlor

Police in Waterville, Maine were forced to utilize a TASER device in order to break up a fight that took place at a pizza parlor at the Waterville House of Pizza. As a result of the incident five people were arrested; three women and two men.

Two women initially began the fight where they were found at the Main Street pizza parlor. Consequently, this then led to others to join in with the brawl; however the people who were arrested had already been drinking earlier in the evening, but it wasn’t clear as to whether or not the five arrested were drinking together.

When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered the lights to the pizza parlor had been turned off. Officers believe that the owners of the establishment had done this in a bid to deter the fighting that was taking place. Unfortunately, it wasn’t successful.

Those arrested were aged between 22-and-32-years-old, and where arrested on charges that included refusing to submit and arrest, and charges of disorderly conduct.

A TASER weapon was fired at one man who fought with officers as they attempted to arrest him.

While the reasoning behind the cause of the argument may not be determined, it does prove how effective the self defense device employed by the officers’ was in ending a fight that could have seen more injuries then it did.

Because of this, it’s important for people to realize that while social drinking is a common thing these days, it’s necessary that people don’t go overboard with how much they consume which could ultimately see them resorting to fights.

After all, a fight will only force the police to investigate which would then mean employing a stunning tool, such as a TASER device on those involved in a bid to gain control of a hostile situation.

Not only that, but anyone who has experienced the stunning shock from these devices is not likely to admit that they found it pleasant. And as a result, this should be more reason to avoid becoming a target of such a tool in the first place.
