TASER Sells Evidence System to Police

TASER International has sold new evidence collection systems to a police department in Minnesota.

The Burnsville Police Department bought the collection devices employed to gather evidence, in addition to storage for the vital data collected.

The units are to be worn by the officers in order to capture audio and video of all the stops and arrests they perform while on duty. The recordings that are then captured will be transferred to another TASER device.

Nowadays there are more officers in the field who are finding themselves equipped with the self defense tools. And while they have proven to be extremely effective at subduing suspects for officers to arrest, officers are also finding themselves having to prove the actions they undertake when a TASER weapon has been employed.

In order to stop further questioning, and to increase the continued safety these devices offer, and consequently stop the negative press the tools experience from circulating, the evidence collection systems that TASER International has sold to the Burnsville Police Department, will give the officers the necessary piece of mind they require.

Furthermore, it will also provide them with vital visual and audio evidence needed when a circumstance may be questioned at a later stage.

Of course, this is just the first of many police departments that could one day soon find their officers equipped with the evidence collection systems. Before long, it won’t be just officers in the United States that will be employing the systems, but other countries as well.

But, if a police department wants to continue boosting the officers’ abilities while at work, then it’s necessary to provide them with the equipment that not only proves their innocence when put into question, but also sheds them in a positive light with the public too.

And the only way this can be achieved is by utilizing technology that allows an officer to record what they do while on duty when they are working with a TASER device.

If people can see what has taken place, then they may be more than likely to realize the effectiveness of these self defense tools and how they can help officers by keeping others safe from harm.
