Warrant Issued for Stun Gun Threats

A warrant was recently issued for the arrest of a Chickasha man after he was found accused of threatening another man with a working stun gun device.

An incident that took place in June found the man charged with battery and assault after employing the weapon last year. Initially the man had come to the individual’s work place where the two men were seen getting into an argument.

According to the victim, during the argument the suspect pulled out his stunning device before pointing it at the man and threatening to utilize it.

What the argument was about is not determined, but it does raise a startling question about how people are employing devices that are intended for protecting a person when they require its assistance.

These days there are more and more reports of people employing stunning devices such as stun guns with the aim to hurt those they target. When the tools first came out, people were skeptical about their use, however over time the public began to rely on them for their personal safety.

Furthermore law enforcement officers could also be seen carrying the devices around with them while on duty, which provided them with a better means of subduing a suspect instead of utilizing a traditional firearm that could prove deadly.

Now however, people are taking one more step and are now using them instead to settle arguments. Instead of presenting an effective measure of protection, they are now being presented as an effective measure at settling disputes between individuals who want to have the upper hand in situations.

This is not what they are for. And the sooner people realize this, the better. The public has been provided with something that is efficient in its nature at producing effective results. Unfortunately that good has now been turned into something bad, and as a result is receiving negative feedback.

Of course this won’t be an issue that is settled overnight; it will ultimately take time for this matter to sort itself out. Until that time comes however, it’s important to remember that while there will be people out there who only have one aim when purchasing a stun gun, they are still the best means when it comes to boosting a person’s protection levels.

 After all, it’s better to have some form of protection than none at all.
